But what excited the 12-year-old most was the chance to perform stunts alongside his superhero dad. “I had to learn Capoeira, which is a martial arts dance form practiced in Brazil,” reveals Armaan. Like any first-timer, he had to pass rounds of auditions, before making the cut. “My mom got a text message from my school saying there was an audition for RA.One, asking if I would be interested. There were three to four rounds of auditions, and I even had to dance in one. Then I was taken to Shah Rukh’s house to meet him before they signed me on,” says Armaan, a seventh grade student at Billabong International School, Santa Cruz. His character, Prateek Subramanium a.k.a. Lucifer, is an integral part of the film, as “it’s mainly focused around a father-son relationship.” Shah Rukh plays Shekar Subramanium, a Tamil scientist who creates the superhero, RA.One, for a computer game that he programmes for his son. “My character is a gaming addict. He loves playing computer games, but doesn’t get along with his father, who he thinks is a geek,” says Armaan, adding, “Shah Rukh is very kind and he would always say ‘you are the most important supporting actor.’” Ask whether he had to learn to speak Tamil to play his part more convincingly, and Armaan says with a laugh, “I didn’t, since my dialogue was all in Hindi. But Shah Rukh has some lines in Tamil, and he sounds quite funny speaking it.” Armaan has shot for the film over a year and a half in Goa, Mumbai, London and Hyderabad. Didn’t it affect his studies? “I had a tutor at home and my school gave me extra classes. That helped me,” says the student-actor who is presently answering his exams. “I don’t discuss the film in school. Until about 80 per cent of the shoot was complete, no one even knew that I was in RA.One.” This is his first press interview.

Beberapa contoh zat pewarna alami yang biasa digunakan untuk mewarnai makanan (Dikutip dari buku membuat pewarna alami karya nur hidayat dan elfi anis saati terbitan Trubus Agrisarana 2006. dapat diperoleh di toko-toko buku se Indonesia) adalah:

• KAROTEN, menghasilkan warna jingga sampai merah. Biasanya digunakan untuk mewarnai produk-produk minyak dan lemak seperti minyak goreng dan margarin. Dapat diperoleh dari wortel, papaya dan sebagainya.
• BIKSIN, memberikan warna kuning seperti mentega. Biksin diperoleh dari biji pohon Bixa orellana yang terdapat di daerah tropis dan sering digunakan untuk mewarnai mentega, margarin, minyak jagung dan salad dressing.
• KARAMEL, berwarna coklat gelap dan merupakan hasil dari hidrolisis (pemecahan) karbohidrat, gula pasir, laktosa dan sirup malt. Karamel terdiri dari 3 jenis, yaitu karamel tahan asam yang sering digunakan untuk minuman berkarbonat, karamel cair untuk roti dan biskuit, serta karamel kering. Gula kelapa yang selain berfungsi sebagai pemanis, juga memberikan warna merah kecoklatan pada minuman es kelapa ataupun es cendol
• KLOROFIL, menghasilkan warna hijau, diperoleh dari daun. Banyak digunakan untuk makanan. Saat ini bahkan mulai digunakan pada berbagai produk kesehatan. Pigmen klorofil banyak terdapat pada dedaunan (misal daun suji, pandan, katuk dan sebaginya). Daun suji dan daun pandan, daun katuk sebagai penghasil warna hijau untuk berbagai jenis kue jajanan pasar. Selain menghasilkan warna hijau yang cantik, juga memiliki harum yang khas.
• ANTOSIANIN, penyebab warna merah, oranye, ungu dan biru banyak terdapat pada bunga dan buah-buahan seperti bunga mawar, pacar air, kembang sepatu, bunga tasbih/kana, krisan, pelargonium, aster cina, dan buah apel,chery, anggur, strawberi, juga terdapat pada buah manggis dan umbi ubi jalar. Bunga telang, menghasilkan warna biru keunguan. Bunga belimbing sayur menghasilkan warna merah. Penggunaan zat pewarna alami, misalnya pigmen antosianin masih terbatas pada beberapa produk makanan, seperti produk minuman (sari buah, juice dan susu).

q KURKUMIN, berasal dari kunyit sebagai salah satu bumbu dapur sekaligus pemberi warna kuning pada masakan yang kita buat.

Pembuatan bahan warna alami sebenarnya sangatlah mudah. Bahan-bahan yang dapat digunakan sebagai pewarna alami ditumbuk, dapat pula menggunakan blender atau penumbuk biasa dengan sedikit ditambah air, lalu diperas dan saring dengan alat penyaring. Agar warnanya cerah dapat ditambahkan sedikit air kapur atau air jeruk nipis. Setelah diperoleh air perasan pewarna, lalu disimpan di dalam lemari es atau freezer jika menginginkan disimpan lebih lama.

Jika pewarna yang digunakan berasal dari gula kelapa yang digunakan pula sebagai pewarna pemanis, maka pilih gula kelapa yang kualitasnya bagus sehingga tidak perlu menyaring, lalu larutkan dengan air dingin atau air panas bila ingin cepat. Sedangkan untuk membuat pewarna hijau sekaligus pengharum dapat digunakan kombinasi daun suji dan pandan. Keduanya sekaligus ditumbuk bersama sedikit air, peras, lalu saring.

Pigmen Cair Pekat

Untuk pemekatan dibutuhkan alat-alat yang lebih baik yaitu pelarut petroleum eter(PE), kertas saring, penyaring vakum, evaporator vakum (untuk menguapkan pelarut), lemari es.

• Ekstrak yang diperoleh dari ekstraksi cara sederhana disaring dengan penyaring vakum guna mempercepat pemisahan antara pigmen dan ampas bahan. Penyaringan tersebut dengan kertas saring.

• Tambahkan petroleum eter 2 %, guna memisahkan pigmen antosianin dengan bahan pencampurnya (non antosianin)
• Ambil warna yang ada pada petroleum eter kemudian diuapkan dengan alat evaporator vakum dengan suhu 40 – 50 C.
• Dihasilkan pigmen pekat yang lebih murni.

Pigmen Bubuk

Pembuatan pigmen bubuk dilakukan dengan menambahkan bahan pengisi (filler) seperti pati, dekstrin atau gum arab dan digunakan alat spary drier. Pewarna yang diekstrak dengan petroleum eter dicampur dengan dekstrin (10 – 30%) kemudian dimasukkan dalam spray drier dengan suhu inlet 100 – 1100C dan suhu outlet 50 – 600C. mesin dinyalakan dengan pompa vakum guna mengurangi kerusakan pigmen oleh oksigen. Bubuk pigmen yang dihasilkan kemduian dikemas dengan plastic gelap (aluminium foil) dan disimpan pada tempat yang tidak lembab.

  This film will reportedly have "breathtaking" stunts from Shahrukh Khan. The special effects team is being hired from Hollywood. Khan has already started working out to prepare himself to be able to perform the "daring" stunts for the film. Khan is now set to go flying in the sky to save mankind in this film. At a press conference that welcomed Akon to India, he revealed that his character can "solidify" electricity and that his team was working on making this possible on screen. He also referred to his character as "Jeevu", suggesting perhaps a double role.

  The shooting was originally supposed to begin in Miami, USA, but due to budget concerns this was scrapped. The first phase of filming begun in India in March 2010 and took place till May 2010 in Mumbai's Film City and Goa. The crew then moved on to London in June 2010 where the filming with the entire starcast took place during July-August and has been completed.In a recent interview, Khan stated that the remaining portions would be completed in India & would require further 6 months of post production.
  Khan also requested his long time collaborator & director Karan Johar to be present during shoot in London. While they were in London, media reports suggested Johar may have directed some romantic portions of the film; this was later denied by the director.

  Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead alongside Khan in the film (the duo were last paired opposite each other in Asoka (2001)) whilst Arjun Rampal will be seen as the villain. During an appearance on the chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Khan stated that Jackie Chan was "approached for a role in the film". Khan had reportedly sent Chan the detailed script of the film, along with the action sequences and a brief synopsis of his character; it was later confirmed that Chan would not be part of the project. In July 2010, Khan announced that Chinese-American actor Tom Wu would be part of the film.
  Akon and Khan reportedly met in Los Angeles, USA. It was reported that besides singing one song, the singer would also form part of the cast. However, Sinha later explained that Akon would "only [be] singing for our film [and] not acting". Akon arrived in India on March 8, 2010, and recorded the song with composers Vishal-Shekhar on March 9-10.
